DIY Painted Pinecones

Hey guys! I've got a bit of a simple post today, but I've been looking at this idea for a long time now and thought it would be perfect to share on my blog. Today, I'm going to be painting some pine cones! Now, you might be thinking that this is more of a fall craft, but really, depending on what colors you use, this can be perfect for all year round. No one is limiting your pine cones to one season! Anyway, this project is extremely easy and takes only takes a couple minutes to complete. So let's begin!

What you will need:
-Pine cones (real or fake)
-Any color paint
-Paintbrush
-Glitter
-Sealer

Step One: Using your paintbrush, paint on the colors you want your pine cone to be. I chose to do blue and purple - very Easter-y colors!

Step Two: After letting the pain dry, sprinkle some glitter onto the pine cone. This is optional, but it really makes the craft stand out and adds a nice homemade touch. To complete the project, spray on your sealer to make sure the paint doesn't come off.

And that's it! Of course, you could add loads more decoration to your pine cone, but I wanted to keep things simple for this project. Placing multiple of these on a table as a centerpiece definitely adds a pop of color to any meal and is a great conversation starter. You could even place this outside of your house to add a bit of magic to your yard! I wish you the best of luck on your pine cone painting journey! Stay crafty!
