DIY Leaf Frame

Hey everyone! The temperature is dropping and the leaves are falling, which I know can only mean one thing: Autumn is officially here! Fall would have to be my favorite season for many reasons, a couple of them being cold weather, Halloween, and Mockingjay Part 2. I especially love the fall due to the beautiful leaves that magically change shades on the tree branches. I've decided to take advantage of these annual transformations and turn them into something that I can treasure all year round. Today I'm going to share with you a DIY autumn leaf picture frame! You can do this with any type of leaf or flower, but I thought it would only be appropriate to get in the mood for the exiting season. Let's get started!

What you will need:
-Paper
-Picture frame
-Hot glue gun
-Leaves (Real or fake)

Step One: Gather up or buy your leaves. If you're going to use real leaves, make sure they aren't crunchy. Make a rough estimate of where you want your leaves to go on the paper. As you can see by my design, I chose to use mostly yellow and green leaves.

Step Two: Hot glue gun the leaves to the paper. Be careful not to burn yourself!

Step Three: Carefully cut around the excess leaves. This doesn't have to be perfect, as we'll perfect the project later.

Step Four: Get your paper laminated. This is optional unless you really want your craft to last. You can get this done at your local Office Depot. This is also where you can perfect your cutting.

Step Five: Slide your picture into the frame. Don't force it in, as this may ruin the project.

And there you have it! A beautiful leaf picture frame. Like I said before, you can use any plant or flower to complete this project. It's all up to you! I've been using this craft as an eye catching centerpiece for my dining room table, and it really sets the mood for fall. Now go do this DIY and leaf me alone! Haha, I'm so punny. PS: Shout out to my bestie, Kimia, for making me the wonderful birthday present in the frame to the left!
