DIY Canvas Art - Part 2

Hi again and welcome to part two of my DIY canvas art tutorial. Today I'm going to be showing you a new design to make with a canvas, this one being my favorite of the two. There are barely any materials needed to make this craft, and it is SUPER easy to complete. Before reading this, be sure to check out part 1 of this tutorial if you haven't already. Let's begin!

What you will need:
-A canvas of any size
-Scissors or a straight edge cutter
-Glue/tape
-Colorful paper

Step One: Using your scissors, cut out strips of paper that are about one inch wide. (Or however large you want it - it doesn't really matter.)

Step Two: Using the strips, cut out squares of the same proportions. (Again, this size is up to you and your personal preference.)

Step Three: Cut each of those squares in half so they form the shape of a triangle.

Step Four: Make a rough outline of where you want your triangles to lie on your canvas. You can form a pattern, or you can just kind of randomize them like I chose to do.

Step Five: Using glue or tape, adhere the triangles to the canvas. (If you use tape and make it double sided like me, it creates a VERY cool 3D effect.) When you're done, you might want to cut out a few smaller triangles to fill up the extra white space.

And now you have yet another unique piece of canvas art! Like I said on part one of this craft, you can use this to decorate your own house or give it away as a gift! I currently have both of my canvas arts hanging up near my front door, and it really adds some beautiful color to the normally white wall. I hope you enjoy making this DIY, and have an amazing day! Stay crafty!
