DIY Canvas Art - Part 1

Hello again! Two blogs in one day? Wowie! What a treat! So today I've got another DIY for you guys to try out. In fact, I did two of these crafts - the second one will be posted tomorrow. Both of these DIY's were really fun to create and involved decorating canvases, something I've never really experimented with before. Most of the materials needed for these two projects are easily accessible if not already in your home, and the process required to make them is very simple. Let's do this!

What you will need:
-A canvas of any size
-Paint
-Washi tape or painters tape

Step One: Using your washi/painters tape, create a design on your canvas. The way you do this is completely up to your mind and creativity. The color of the tape doesn't matter as the taped part of the canvas will remain white in the end.

Step Two: Using a color of your choice, paint over the entire canvas. Don't worry about getting it on the tape, as we'll be removing it later anyway. I personally chose to add a layer of glitter paint for effect, but this is completely up to you.

Step Three: Let the paint dry. After you do this, carefully remove the tape from the canvas. If any of the white parts are messed up, you can easily touch it up with some white paint and a thin paint brush.

And now you have a piece of beautiful, handmade canvas art! You can hang this up on the wall or even give it out as a gift! I'm sure anyone who received this would love it and appreciate your hard work. The awesome thing about this craft is that its fully customizable and can be done by anyone and everyone who wants to. Thanks for reading and stay tuned for part 2 of this craft coming out tomorrow! Stay crafty!
