Hey everyone! Happy last day of January. I hope you are all having an amazing Sunday and are ready for another DIY! So last year, I decorated my locker like crazy. Everyday it made me so happy to exchange books and folders because there was just so much to look at and admire! This year, I haven't really thought about it as much... UNTIL NOW! Today I've made something that can spruce up anyone's locker - not just mine. A magnetic basket! This craft can hold various small, lightweight items and is great for organizing pencils, flashcards, and even small papers and assignments. One of the best parts is that you can decorate this craft however you want to correspond with your favorite colors, sizes, and shapes! Let's get started!
What you will need:
-Glue
-A wooden basket of any size
-Paint
-Magnets
-Rhinestones (optional)
Step One: Paint your wooden basket. You can use any color paint for this, but I personally chose to use blue.
Step Two: Using Elmer's glue (or hot glue - either option will work), adhere at least two magnets to the back of your basket. The more you put, the stronger your basket will be.
Step Three: Use your rhinestones to decorate the front of your basket. This part is optional, but I highly recommend doing it. It really adds something unique and special to your DIY.
And now our lockers can be decorated once more! Unfortunately, I couldn't get a picture of this craft in my own locker since I did this over the weekend, but I can assure you that it looks great and works amazingly! What I did get a picture of is the basket on my washing machine, which just proves how multi-functional this craft really is! You can stick this onto anything magnetic, from your refrigerator to your school white board. The options are limitless! I hope your magnetic basket is as useful to you as it is to me, and I wish you the best of luck in making it! Stay crafty!
This is so cute! I want to make one too!:)
